Frequently Asked
What is FLARE? +

FLARE (Flourish in Life with Art + Resources for Endometriosis) is a creative initiative and growing community that supports individuals living with endometriosis through art, storytelling, education, and connection.

Who is FLARE for? +

FLARE is for anyone impacted by endometriosis, including patients, artists, advocates, caregivers, and supporters. Whether you are newly diagnosed, navigating chronic illness, or simply looking for a space that understands, you are welcome here.

Why is endometriosis awareness so important? +

Endometriosis affects millions of people worldwide, yet many still face delayed diagnoses, dismissal, and isolation. FLARE exists to help make these experiences more visible, human, and understood through creativity and community.

Why does FLARE focus on art? +

FLARE believes creative expression can be a powerful way to process pain, reclaim identity, and feel seen. Many people living with endometriosis struggle to explain experiences that feel invisible. Art creates another language for those experiences.

Do I need to be a professional artist to participate? +

Not at all. FLARE welcomes both emerging and established artists, along with anyone using creativity as a form of expression or healing. Authenticity matters more than experience.

What kinds of artwork can be submitted? +

FLARE accepts a wide range of visual artwork including painting, photography, illustration, mixed media, sculpture, digital art, and more. Written storytelling and creative projects may also be featured depending on the initiative.

How can I submit my work to FLARE? +

You can submit work through the submission forms available on the FLARE website. Selected artwork may be featured online, in social campaigns, publications, or future exhibitions.

Can I get involved even if I don't make art? +

Absolutely. There are many ways to support FLARE through advocacy, sharing stories, volunteering, collaborations, outreach, event support, and helping grow the community.

Does FLARE provide medical advice? +

No. FLARE is not a medical organization and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. The resources shared are intended for educational and supportive purposes only.

How can I stay connected with FLARE? +

You can follow FLARE on Instagram, subscribe to the newsletter, listen to the podcast, read FLARE Journal, or participate in upcoming creative projects and community initiatives.
